As Jesus' public ministry began with announcing the good news of the kingdom of God, after He states that the time is fulfilled, He goes on to end the statement in Mark:1:15And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel., with, "...the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent and believe..." There is a sense of urgency and immediacy, yet almost 2000 years later, we still await the second coming of Jesus Christ to rule this earth. Is the kingdom of God represented at all here on earth at this time? Who does God intend to benefit from His kingdom?
